Today, thank God, life has become easier. There are many Qur’an memorization schools everywhere. Therefore, in order for children to memorize the Qur’an, it is necessary for parents to direct their children to memorize the Book of God and make it one of their most important priorities. Schools and Qur’an memorization circles must diversify teaching methods while using modern methods to facilitate memorization of the Qur’an and bring memorization closer to our children, while being careful to encourage those who excel in it.
The predecessors of the Companions and Followers, may God be pleased with them, used to make the Holy Qur’an the constitution of their lives, and they were very keen on teaching their children to recite and memorize the Holy Qur’an. The first thing they did was to enroll their children in Qur’an memorization circles spread in mosques. It is a Sunnah that has been followed for a long time in many of our Islamic countries. When children receive Quranic verses, light and guidance descend upon them. God Almighty has taken care of preserving His Book, and the Almighty said: (Indeed, it is We who have sent down the Remembrance, and indeed, We will preserve it.) He also called us to pay attention to that book, ponder it, and act according to what it says: God Almighty said: (A blessed book which We have sent down to you, that they may contemplate its verses, and that those of understanding may remember.)
